The 10-Minute Triumph

The beauty of the Ten- Minute Triumph is that, it is do-able. Anyone can manage ten minutes out of their day to focus on a task and put everything else on hold for 10 minutes. (See Formula at bottom of page)

I was struggling for 2 years with a project that I had put on the back burner and had lost faith in ever completing it. My husband had helped me collect the rock for a tiny patio around my garden water tap, something I had planned out in my head for years. I began the project with gusto in 2010 but developed back pain. So, had to refrain from that type of work until I healed. I did heal. But, I had lost the motivation and wasn’t able to get back to it.  Summer of 2011, wasn’t much better. But this year in May, I began applying the 10 minutes rule every day. And well, you can see for yourself. Voila!  I completed my project in June 2012 and am appreciating it every day. Everyone can apply themselves to something for 10 minutes.  The secret to this has 2 dimensions. Uninterrupted 10 minutes over just 3 days accomplishes a lot. We see the accomplishment and it motivates us to complete the task. Secondly, often, when we push ourselves for 10 minutes. We want to keep going and spend even more time on the task…woops! I wasn’t supposed to say that. Part of your brain cannot know that because when we are in the space of procrastinating, we believe that we do not have time to do this particular, this task or exercise. The brain needs to know that it isn’t longer than 10 minutes. The Ten- Minute Triumph propels you into Good Time Management, and Good Time Management is the necessary grease to drive your motor of success!!
